Faced with a child’s illness, life stops overnight and parents enter a world of fear and worry. For parents who don’t live close to the medical care their child needs, there’s added stress. Distance. Most families have to travel hours for treatment. Living expenses quickly add up. Long drives, lost jobs, worried siblings, sleeping in cars, being far from family and friends. These are extra burdens no family should have to experience.
That’s why we’re here to help – don’t go through this alone.
With the generosity of our community, the efforts of our volunteers, staff and local McDonald’s restaurant owner-operators, we are meeting our mission through three programs.
The Ronald McDonald House® provides temporary accommodations, meals, peer support, and other services to meet the basic needs of families of children receiving medical care. Families can stay, anywhere from one night to several months or more, depending on their family’s needs.
Ronald McDonald House® Family Room at Golisano Children’s Hospital provides food, refreshments, laundry facilities and a relaxation area for family members of hospitalized children. There are only three Family Room programs in Florida, so we are proud to have one!
Ronald McDonald House® Care Mobile program provides dental care through our partnership with two health care providers to underserved children. Of the 38 Ronald McDonald House® Care Mobile programs worldwide, we proudly have two to serve our community.

We feel honored to be trusted to support families when their children are ill or injured. It’s a trust we repay through our deep respect for every family we serve and for each other.
