Ronald McDonald House® Southwest Florida is a “home-away-from-home” for families of seriously ill or injured children, receiving medical treatment at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida or other local medical facilities. The immediate family (mother, father, siblings), living a minimum of 15 miles from the hospital, of any seriously ill or injured child (21 or younger), is eligible to request to become one of our residents. Ronald McDonald House SWFL provides families with a comfortable home-away-from-home, including private bedrooms with two queen beds and full bathrooms, a welcoming living room, fully stocked kitchen and pantry, family-style dining area, and free Wi-Fi and laundry facilities. Families can enjoy a peaceful quiet room, hot meals every night, access to transportation services to and from Golisano Children’s Hospital, weather permitting, and more. The House is monitored 24/7 and staffed daily, with an on-site or on-call manager overnight to help ensure families feel safe and supported throughout their stay. Tours are provided to families before check-in, and House information boards keep residents updated on daily activities and resources.
